Director James Mangold just announced that his strike film Logan will hark back to theaters for one dark only in a particular bootleg and white edition .

Mangoldpreviously announcedhe was working on a black and white interlingual rendition of the film , but this is the first we ’re hearing it ’ll be show in theatre . deplorably , details beyond that are scarce . Will it be 1,000 screenland ? 500 screens ? We do n’t yet know and have n’t heard back for Fox for comment . It ’s in all likelihood best just to keep an eye on your local field ’s internet site for May 16 screenings .
Mangold also confirmed the pitch-dark and white version will be available when Logan hits Blu - shaft of light the following week . This will just be the only opportunity to see it on a big screen .
This marks the second flick a major studio has decided to give a small theatrical re - tone ending in fateful and white . The first , of track , was sore Max : Fury Road , a film with a similar stark stage setting to Logan . What is it about sprawling vistas and a deficiency of colouration fan seem to love so much ?
