There is bad news and beneficial intelligence in this episode of Arrow . The sorry word is we wo n’t get the Moira and Ollie story we ’ve been craving since last workweek . The ripe news is that Moira grabs the Most Interesting Character of the Series billet with the white - knuckle tenacity that Charlize Theron did in Snow White and the Huntsman . We leave off where we were last week , with Ollie threatening Moira with his arrows . When soldier show up , Slade cut up them to death and then throws himself on the mine while pushing Ollie off of it . ( NOTE : It actually come out that Slade throw one of the dead dead body on the mine . ) It does n’t go off , but still , Ollie ’s shaken “ thanks , ” sounds anticlimactic .
Back at the sinner ’s camp , Eddie Fyers summons Yao Fei , and tells him that he ’ll be training the soldiers in archery , and that he had better stay loyal , “ for her sake . ” Ooh ! Mystery ! His name was Bill Wintergreen , and he was godfather to Slade ’s Logos , Joe . ( Deathstroke fans did a small dance during this speech communication . ) But Wintergreen match to swop side and Slade was interlace up for six months . Oh the betrayal !
And now to the flight strip . Slade start taking people out . Ollie sneaks to the tower , creeps through the door , and run into the bozo he needs to kill sitting with his back to Ollie . You cognise what would get this whole situation successfully completed ? A gun . or else we see Ollie lunge at the guy with a tongue in a keen motion that has to have been fully approve by the health and safety people on lay out as something that could never , ever do anyone any harm . But I wo n’t in this serial , because Slade breaks in and whip him to death . He then complains that Ollie did n’t do the job — which , again , is why Ollie should have had a triggerman . Slade leaves briefly , give Ollie a fortune to do another dumb affair , like call the woman he loves from the telephone of a vague organization trying to drink down him . I ’m certain they wo n’t detect the call to Laurel ’s sound . Then the plane calls with a computer code phrase that the hombre are suppose to complete . It is from The Odyssey . “ Of all the creatures that breath and move upon the Earth . . . ” Ollie , for the first time in the chronology of the series , justifies his oxygen and fills in the idiomatic expression , “ nothing is breed that is faint than man . ” You ’ll notice it does n’t say “ weaker than Girl Scouts , ” Slade ! Just “ man . ” Even Homer love that we were toughened . Semper cookie !
With the plane on the way , Ollie decides to go back to the coterie and deliver Yao Fei . Slade lets him go . It ’s a touching thought on Ollie ’s part , but it ends up going about as well as you ’d expect . Yao Fei gull plug him , and he wakes up about to be beaten to expiry by Wintergreen . At first Ollie taunts Wintergreen . Then he shows his third flash of intelligence of the sequence and articulate , “ Whatever he ’s compensate you , I ’ll treble it . ” abruptly there are explosions and Deathstroke fan cheer . Slade has returned , and his fighting with Wintergreen ends with a stab through the optic for poor Billy .
Finally Fyers is the first graphic symbol on , I think , this entire show , to figure out how a gun is used . He endure far back from everyone , so they ca n’t hit him or knock him down , and shoots Slade — though he only hit him in the arm . Ollie and Slade flee , only to have another henchman jam a gun in Ollie ’s face . Ollie disarms him , and then come to him on the school principal with the gun for hire to incapacitate him . This shows that no one , not even the henchman , hear anything from Fyers ’ demonstration of how to properly habituate a gun for hire .
Back at their base summer camp , Slade has Ollie attach him up before taking the bullet from his sleeve , explaining that he might lash out in pain and kill Ollie if he were to stay on loose . Sure , Slade . Look , you ’ve both been on that island for a long meter . There ’s nothing ill-timed with a little brondage between friends . or else , they do something even more intimate . Slade implies that they ’re go after Fyers and turn tail together . When Ollie reminds Slade that he said they would n’t make it if they missed the carpenter’s plane , Slade replies , “ That dumb kid that I educate , he never would have made it . You , you just might have a chance . ” And then there ’s a handclasp of honour ! I once read that , on Smallville , a manly handshaking was more important than sex activity . I ’d have to say that style cross over to Arrow . Then Ollie express joy and says , “ I ’m dropped on an island and my only friend is named Wilson . ” Ha ! I care it . But do n’t withstand out for Hanks ’ Oscar .
Over at the evildoer coterie , Fyers is getting hollo at by someone on a radio because of the explosions Slade place off . He says he ’ll take care of it and function to Yao Fei . He explain that Yao Fei was correct to sell out Ollie and grants him “ five minutes . ” Yao Fei goes into a collapsible shelter to find a handcuffed unseasoned womanhood who calls him father and asks him what ’s happening . Yao Fei tells her not to worry it and call her Shado . As we pan to the dragon tattoo on her shoulder , I realize who this is and agnise she was part ofmy first - ever post on io9 . Ah , memories !

Ollie wakes up and asks Felicity to bring together the team . She read no , but she will gravel with them until they find out Walter , since Walter was nice to her . Ollie agrees , and when he stretches out his hand to her we get our 2d handshake of pureness ! Well done , Felicity . You ’ve show the smell of the Girl Scout . And your “ rewiring a defibrilator ” badge is choke to be awesome . Ollie then turns on Digg and says that his mother shoot him in ego - defense and clearly she ’s not a villain because she mentioned her children while being threaten . Oh , and Ollie has the same dragon tattoo on his shoulder joint .
Having re - crazied himself , Ollie head back home . Moira is being questioned by the law and run up to Ollie . She hug him right where he ’s been fool away but pure love and obsession keep him from so much as wince . She state she thought that the vigilante was live on to down her . Ollie grabs her and turn his intensity telephone dial up all the room , reveal it off , and shoot it into the sun . “ I promise you he ’s never going to bother you again . ”
vivid hug . I can just hear the writers for the show sighing to this . “ That ’s right . That ’s just where we want this relationship to remain . It ’s oediperfection . ”
