Here ’s some awesome shot from NASA ’s Goddard Space Flight Center showing the intricate puzzle of seaweed farms in South Korea . The landing field of seaweed are grown on ropes string along the southern coast of South Korea around Sisan Island . It makes for a beautiful image when seen from afar .

The obscure squares that make up the checker board pattern in this figure are fields of a kind — fields of seaweed . Along the south coast of South Korea , seaweed is often develop on ropes , which are retain near the surface with buoys . This technique secure that the seaweed stays close enough to the open to get enough light during high tide but does n’t come up against the bottom during low tide .
