The Casio EX - V7 is the world ’s slimmest 7x visual zoom camera . Plus , it ’s the first slimline camera to admit CCD - shift anti - shake engineering . We were excited when it wasannouncedback at CES , even if Casio is n’t jazz as the best imaging ship’s company in the human race ( on the button who is … I’ll leave for the fanboys commenters to hash out ) .

DPreview got their hands on a unit and put it through their extensive testing procedure . The verdict ?

Good
– “ Superb ” build
– Uses folding oculus to create non - sticking zoom electron lens

– rapid interface
– Nice MPEG4 recording
Bad

– CCD - geological fault does n’t really shape , especially with vertical shake
– Image easy , generally high noise
– Narrow lens of the eye

In other words , it ’s a consummate camera until you want to take video with it . That ’s my cosmopolitan problem with the Exilum descent — a general emphasis of form over function .
