Independence Day : revivification seemed like it was going to be such an obvious hit . But the subsequence to the 1996 mega - blockbuster , release this past weekend , simply was n’t very full . Even so , I really , really hope we get a third ID4 installment , because the next moving-picture show , as we see rally in Resurgence , looks like it would be amazing .
So , at the outset of Resurgence , a mysterious globe get on the Moon . The humans attack it , and afterward realize that was a mistake . This orb is the last knowingness of a long extinct people who have been battle the same exotic race that has invaded Earth for generations . The eyeball recite everyone that it has a planet where it give other races technology and the means to strain and vote down the malevolent aliens , a sort of immense , peaceful education ground out in the cosmos . Then , at the end of the film when the man win , the orb make up one’s mind the humans are the staring race to contribute the encroachment of the alien planet itself .
That mean Independence Day 3 could be the greatest scifi activity pic of all prison term . If it got made , it would be about Earthlings traveling deep into space , meet other alien races , getting insanely ripe technology , then attacking the evil stranger in a warfare on their own planet .

That sounds amazing .
It also sounds like the kind of sequel that the 2nd one should have been — something that takes the ideas from the original picture show and spins them on their head . Instead , Resurgence is very much a inadequate written matter of the first movie .
Not to advert the moral questions it raises are entrancing . Are we any better than these “ evil ” aliens ? Does invading their planet make us just as forged as they are ? What does it accomplish ? There ’s some plentiful thematic territory to be mine , not to cite some massive legal action .

So even though Independence Day : Resurgence kind of sucks , Independence Day 3 could be something exciting . Something unlike . Something awesome . Hopefully audiences will turn up somewhere and turn the lunar time period for the film , because we need part three . It ’s just a pity Roland Emmerich did n’t skip revitalisation to make it instead .
