A young male child who can manipulate machines with his thinker finds a massive automaton that was work up to defend the man from monsters . Together , he and his three friends must ring together to pilot the robot — and aid salvage the universe !
If that was the patch to a movie , it would almost surely be a big summertime blockbuster . But in this typesetter’s case , it ’s really newfangled show come to Disney XD . The show is call Mech - X4 , identify after the robot in inquiry , and it was just greenlit for a Fall 2016 premiere .
Though the description patently feel like a mix of The Iron Giant , Power Rangers and Pacific Rim — with a second of The Matrix in there too — don’t expect the spirit of any of those . This is Disney , after all , so this futuristic adventure premise is primarily going to be turned into a family comedy . But unlike many other shows aimed at that audience , this will be serialize , with quite a little of special effect and even a dense mythology . Very cool clobber .
Mech - X4 was created by producer Steve Marmel and star Nathaniel James Potvin , Kamran Lucas , Pearce Joza and Raymond Cham . It ’s currently in production .
