It looks as though Republican FCC Chairman Kevin Martin is quick to lay the pounding down on Comcast regarding their wantonBitTorrent block . As was discernible in the recentnet neutrality auditory modality , Martin is hellbent on protecting consumers by establishing rules for foil within ISPs . In an audience with AP , Martin noted that “ The mission has adopted a set of principles that protect consumers ’ access to the internet , and we find that Comcast ’s legal action in this instance violated our principle . ” He went on to say that they “ at random ” blockade net access and failed to disclose this to customers .

Martin ’s aim now is to punish Comcast via an order he is endeavor to press through his fellow commissioners . If passed , Comcast would be forced to hold on P2P block , provide details on its P2P blocking praxis and inform its client about its plans for the future tense . Fortunately , he only has to secure two more votes on the five - person panel to make his plan a world . And there are two Democrats on the commission that are unswerving supporter of net neutrality and are potential to keep abreast his lead . So it look like Comcast will be bewilder the braggy FCC boot in its nates in the very near time to come . round ’ friggin ’ time if you expect me . UPDATE : TheWSJis reporting that Martin is not looking to add a fine in improver to the beak against Comcast . [ APviaArstechnica ]
