The X - T30 is a follow up to 2017 ’s ecstasy - T20 , another affordable APS - C sensing element shooter . But the X - T30 is 0.23 inch dense than the go - T20 and has done something that could be controversial — whole ax the D - pad used for navigating menus .

Same with the Q - clit . Fujifilm told a radical of newsperson that one of the reasons for ax the D - tablet was to promote user towards the Q - clit , which Fujifilm feels is a much more powerful twist for navigating a mirrorless camera ’s endless menus .
Hit the Q - clit , and you see a whole messiness of options that you’re able to choose with a tap on the CRT screen or by keep in line the focus lever . Just be careful , because Fujifilm placed the Q - button on an outcropping on the grip . Sony ’s APS - C sensing element rivals , the a6500 and a6300 both shoot just 8 - fleck 4 K , with the a6500 cost nearly $ 200 more and the a6300 costing about $ 50 less than the X - T30 .

I say “ should ” because it was inconsistent in my 24 hours with the tv camera . More than one shooting came out blurry , and in one peculiarly low light case in a bar ( which would be challenge for any camera ) it focused on some dummies in the desktop rather of my actual subjects .
I should note that this is n’t the last dismission of the camera , so there ’s still sentence to sort out the bug .
The X - T30 will begin shipping in March of this year for $ 900 . If you need the charcoal atomic number 47 version , you ’ll have to wait a little longer though . It wo n’t start shipping until June 2019 .
