Google ’s Project Loon is a grandoise project to bring internet to the third populace via great party balloon . Last time we ’d check in , it was flying 20 balloonsover Australia ; now , it wants to put 20,000 over remote parts of Indonesia .
In an announcement today , Google confirmed that it ’s team up with three of Indonesia ’s biggest cell carriers to work angelic , scented LTE to some of Indonesia ’s 17,000 islands .

Mike Cassidy , project drawing card for Loon , say that “ Indonesia is the perfect burst for Project Loon , ” and it ’s unvoiced to disagree : a dispersed nation relying on orbiter for its limited net connectivity could profit hugely from cheap , widely available 10Mbps connections .
Google is pop off to pass the next year try the tech with its mate , before rolling out a product to consumers . The cell carrier will be responsible for the sales and charge , while Google will pump ‘ em full of natural gas and go aviate .
