Revealed through a preview loose toComicbook.com , Marc Guggenheim and German Peralta ’s Agents of SHIELD comic — which already star MCU alumni Gemma Simmons , Leo Fitz , Melinda May , and of course of instruction Phil Coulson alongside the comics universe version of Deathlok and Daisy Johnson — is adding the show ’s SHIELD agent - turn - Hydra factor - bend - Crazy Monster Manas a unexampled thorn in the side of Team Coulson .

It ’s unsurprising — like I say , the comics have been influenced by the moving picture material for years at this point , and Agents of SHIELD itself is basically the TV show transplanted into the world of Marvel Comics ( with an unlimited budget!)—but it ’s still cool . Ward is a good pick , deal how much fun he ’s been as a big guy since his heel turn in season 1 . Getting that moral force between him and his former ally in the SHIELD comedian is going to be a pleasure .
Ward makes his entry in Agents of SHIELD # 5 , out next Wednesday on May 11th .
