Jeff Lewisis planning to take Gage Edward to dinner this weekend — about a week after he saysEdward moved out of their home.
“He was very clear it’s not a date, and if I’m under the impression it’s a date that it probably shouldn’t happen,” Lewis explained of the meet-up, during a segment on his SiriusXM radio showJeff Lewis Liveon Friday. “So I said, ‘I get it. I get the boundaries here. This is platonic.'”
Lewis, 48, admits he kept joking around that he and Edward, who had been together for 10 years and sharetwo-year-old daughter Monroe, were going on a date, but Edward, 33, insisted they were not.
TheFlipping Outstar revealed on the radio show on Jan 31. that Edward had left their family home and moved into a hotel. He later added that he’d rented an apartment. According to Lewis, the separationhad been “a long time coming,” and they had been living in separate rooms in the same house for the better part of a year.

On Friday’s episode, Lewis also shared an exchange he says he had with his estranged partner.
“He said, ‘You have a lot of work to do on yourself . . . And I have a lot of work to do on myself.’ So progress! This is progress,” Lewis recounted.
Although their dinner plans are not be romantic, Lewis claimed this week thatEdward went on a dateof his own last weekend with a man he met at the gym some time ago.

“We’ve been getting along pretty well until I found out that he went out on a date on Saturday night,” theFlipping Outstar said.
“I will not say his name, but just for today, we’re going to call him ‘home wrecker,’” Lewis said of the anonymous man. “Home wrecker, I think, has been in [Gage’s] ear for quite some long time. I think home wrecker has exploited quite a vulnerable situation. I think this person positioned himself as a gym buddy friend, and I think this person has set his sights on him for quite some time.”
Edward had no comment on the situation.
After learning of Edward’s supposed date, Lewis admits he, too, considered getting back in the game, and signed up for an online dating site.
“Because I was feeling down on myself on Sunday I said, ‘Maybe it’s time to start dating,’” Lewis said on his show Tuesday. “So I dabbled in the online dating world. And I met someone who was kind of interesting. We started talking, we exchanged pictures, and we started texting fast and furiously. That went on throughout the entire day.”
But Lewis says that flame burnt out quickly once he told the man he had a daughter.
The separation comes on the heels of a tumultuous year for the couple.
Trent is seeking damages for unlawful recording, invasion of privacy and fraud. Lewis has strongly refuted these claims, but the legal action is ongoing andwill likely go to trial.

Lewis and his longtime friend andFlipping Outco-star Jenni Pulos also had a major falling out earlier in the year that ended their nearly 20-year personal and professional relationship. Lewis believes this fightmay lead to the end of their Bravo seriesafter 11 seasons.
