Director Francis Lawrence recently toldEmpirethat Zegler’s character, District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird, is the “anti-Katniss” in many ways.
“Katniss was an introvert and a survivor. She was quite quiet and stoic, you could almost say [she was] asexual,” the director said. “Lucy Gray is the opposite. Shewears her sexuality on her sleeve, [and] she really is a performer.”
