Lisa Kudrowis giving fans some more details about the long-awaitedFriendsreunion special.
Thereunion, which will bring the core cast back together on the NBC comedy’s original soundstage, is scheduled to shoot in “early spring,” Kudrow toldRob Loweduring an episode of his podcast,Literally! With Rob Lowe.
The actress, 57, added that she and her costars —Jennifer Aniston,Courteney Cox,Matthew Perry,Matt LeBlancandDavid Schwimmer— have already shot some scenes for the reunion.
“There’s different facets to it, and we already shot packages of things,” she told Lowe. “I pre-shot something already so we’re definitely doing it, because I already shot a little something.”

Kudrow, who played the eclectic Phoebe Buffay, also clarified that the cast will not be reprising their iconicFriendscharacters, but chatting as themselves.
“It’s not a reboot,” she said. “It’s not like a scripted thing, we’re not portraying our characters. It’s us getting together, which just doesn’t happen a lot and has never happened in front of other people since 2004 when we stopped.”
“I think it’ll be great,” she added.
“Is it you just having nachos over at Jen’s house?” Lowe then asked, to which Kudrow joked in response, “Yes, that’s what it is.”

“Unfortunately it’svery sad that we had to move it again,” Aniston, 51, toldDeadlinein August. “It was, ‘How do we do this with live audiences?’ This is not a safe time. Period. That’s the bottom line. It’s not a safe time to do it.”
“It’s going to be super,” she added. “I choose to see it as the glass is half-full that it got postponed. Look, we’re not going anywhere. You’re never going to get rid ofFriends, sorry. You’re stuck with us for life, guys.”
After confirming that the reunion had beenpushed back, former WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-to-Consumer chairman Bob Greenblatt said they still planned on taping the special in front of a live studio audience on the original soundstage in Burbank, California.
“We do think there’s a value to having a big, raucous live audience to experience these six great friends coming back together,” he said. “And we didn’t want to just suddenly do it on a web call with, you know, six squares and people shooting from their kitchens and bedrooms.”
