The daughter of late actressOlivia Newton-Johnis remembering the special memories they’ve shared.

On Monday, Chloe Lattanzi posted a series of sweet photos with herself and theGreasestar, beginning with a throwback of Lattanzi adorably grabbing her mother’s face for a kiss, and ending with selfies and photos of the mother-daughter duo throughout the years.

Lattanzi’stouching postcomes hours after Newton-John’s death wasannounced. She was 73.

In May 2017, the four-time Grammy winner shared that she wasdiagnosed with metastatic breast cancerthat had spread to her back.

“I’m so lucky to still be doing all these things,” Newton-John said of attending Lattanzi’s wedding and releasing a single with her called “Window in the Wall” at the time. “I don’t think I imagined living this long! I feel very blessed.”

Though they’ve always shared a tight bond, she and Lattanzi became even closer as they quarantined together in California during thecoronavirus pandemic. Lattanzi eventually moved to Portland, Oregon, butrevealed in late Julythat she had moved back to be near Newton-John.

She added that she knew very early on that her daughter (from her marriage to ex-husband Matt Lattanzi) would follow in her musical footsteps.

Lattanzi later released her 2016 studio album,No Pain, which included a reworking of her mom’s 1980 hit “Magic” from the filmXanadu. She shared with PEOPLE what it was like growing up with Newton-John, and what inspired her to perform her mother’s song.

“As a kid, I wasn’t paying attention to her as a celebrity. She’s my mom, you know? Like, she takes me to school,” she told PEOPLE. “I think as I’ve gotten older, that’s when I got to listening to her music. I did a re-imagining of ‘Magic’ because I loved it so much.”

Lattanzi, who was gearing up for her wedding at the time, went on to share a sage piece of advice her mom once gave her: “Don’t change for anybody because that’s not love.”
