Tinasheloves to get “2 On” — but she also knows when an album is too long.

“Sometimes we spend so much time working on albums as artists, and it feels kind of crazy to just give it all away in one foul swoop,” she adds. “Like, you want people to sit with it and really let it sink in.”

Of course, Tinashe is known to keep her fans fed with a continuous stream of music drops. Her last full-length project, 2021’s333, received a deluxe rerelease with four extra songs, and she generally puts out remixes alongside each project. Will that be the case withBB/ANG3L? “Maybe,” the artist says coyly with a grin. “We’ll see!”

For now, she’s merely happy to share the new songs. “I’m really, really excited to get [the album] out in the world and have the fans hear everything that I’ve been working on,” says Tinashe.

Next month, the “All Hands on Deck” performer will link up with Shygirl for a co-headlining tour across North America. For the concerts, Tinashe will showcaseBB/ANG3Land more alongside the experimental musician, whom she first met when they both took the stage at a festival in Brooklyn, New York last year.

“We just met and clicked. We were like, ‘Girl, I love you.’ It was just that simple” she says of her friendship with Shygirl, 30. “We collaborated on a song called ‘Heaven’ on her last project, and then touring just kind of made sense. Like, why not?”

Tinashe and Shygirl’s tour kicks off Oct. 28 in Chicago and runs through Nov. 18 in Oakland, California. Tickets are availablehere.
